Logo Design

A COMPELLING LOGO MAKES A LASTING IMPRESSION

Your company logo is your first chance to make a lasting impression. It may be the first thing a potential customer sees when they are searching for you. You want your logo to convey how you see your company: innovative, trustworthy, creative, solid, quality service and products, dependable, and most of all, professional. Successful branding starts with a striking and meaningful “mark,” the first step in setting your business apart from your competition.

WHY IS A LOGO SO IMPORTANT?

You could think of your logo as the company “mascot,” trawling hundreds of potential markets via web searches and printed materials. Thousands of potential customers may view it, so it becomes a kind of silent yet “visual” sales pitch. But what does it say? What message does it send? Is it readily identifiable, or is it too complicated or confusing? Does it work both on a business card as well as the side of a tractor trailer? Is it bold? Or weak? Would someone recognize it from across a crowded room? Or from across the street? How will your company be perceived by prospective customers based solely on your logo?

WHAT SHOULD YOUR LOGO COMMUNICATE?

Your logo should project the attitude and philosophy of your business. And all collateral materials—such as brochures, ads, and website, etc.—should follow a similar tone and feel. This is “Branding.” Consistency throughout your design approach equates to “consistency” in how your client will perceive your services. Your “mark” has the potential to promote the values, quality and professionalism you strive to convey to every customer you deal with, as well as build trust and pride among your employees and associates.
